ESN can sample Caving Holes or below the Water Table, vertically profiling soil and
groundwater in a single
hole. This is done with the Dual Tube Sampling system, incorporating an exterior 2.125" O.D. drive casing
coupled with a 1.0" O.D. rod used to retrieve a core liner. It can be equipped with a threaded or knock-off
cutting shoe; the latter allows installation of a monitoring well following sampling, or grouting of the hole
after sampling can be done. The benefit of this system is it prevents cross-contamination from uphole sources.
