Mini-Wells/Mini-Piezometers are very economical and can be installed permanently or temporarily.
An anchor point is driven to depth and slotted, 3/8" polyethylene tubing is run through the probe rod and threaded to the anchor point. The rod is withdrawn leaving the tubing in place. 10-20 mesh silica sand is packed around the perforations and a bentonite seal is added to the surface. The mini-well can be covered with a PVC cap and casing, or other types of covers.
